Opt out of scanning
If you operate a website and do not want Urlyze to scan it, you can ask us to add your domain to our Do-Not-Scan registry.
What listing your domain does
Once your domain is listed, new scans of it — and of all its subdomains — are rejected when they are submitted through the Urlyze app or API, and URLs on your domain found in mails reported to us are skipped.
What it does not do
Listing your domain does not delete or hide scans that already exist. Existing results stay visible in search and in any feed entry that already references them, and an analyst confirmation is not undone. Our scheduled security checks — monitoring, brand-protection sweeps, takedown verification and new-domain discovery — are not affected by this list. Platform administrators can still scan a listed domain manually when an investigation requires it.
If you need a specific scan result removed rather than future scans blocked, use the Report button on that scan and choose "Request removal of this scan".
How to request it
Prove you control the domain. Publish this DNS TXT record:
_urlyze-optout.example.com. TXT "opt-out"Replace example.com with the domain you want listed. Publishing a record at this name requires control of the domain's DNS, which is how we verify the request. Leave the record in place — we may check it again.
Email us. Send a mail to info@urlyze.io with the subject "Do-Not-Scan request: example.com" telling us the exact domain. We will check the DNS record and reply.
If you cannot publish a DNS record, write to us anyway from an address at that domain and we will tell you what else we can accept.
How long it takes
Requests are handled by a person, not automatically. Expect a reply within a few business days.
When we may decline
We may decline or postpone a request for a domain with recent malicious findings. Opting out is for site owners who do not want to be scanned; it is not a way to stop an investigation into an active attack.
